About the Role
The Metacrisis Coach supports our leadership team and community in developing literacy, emotional maturity, and systems awareness to navigate the deep civilizational challenges of our time.
This role sits within the Metacrisis Circle, a sub-circle of our Ethos Circle, and works closely with the Metacrisis Apprentice role to ensure knowledge-sharing and continuity.
Responsibilities
Facilitate periodic Metacrisis literacy sessions (or recommend materials and flow)
Support clarity, complexity holding, and narrative integrity across Umoja’s strategy and communications
Guide or co-create training paths for team members
Recommend aligned thinkers, readings, or framings
Help resolve narrative incoherence or fragmentation in orientations
Be available for low-pressure, high-care thought partnership with the leadership team
Who We’re Looking For
You might be a good fit if you:
Are literate in Metacrisis framing (Daniel Schmachtenberger, Toby Ord, Vanessa Machado, etc.)
Can hold systemic complexity with grounded, relational presence
Are familiar with post-capitalist, post-colonial, and/or longtermist perspectives
Have experience with facilitation, mentorship, or systems education
Are open to working with a diverse, multilingual team from East Africa and beyond
Feel aligned with our values of humility, care, and post-egoic service
